Some jobs were done on straightening out the running boards and shortening screws for the frames. The sandboxes were trialed on the loco and seem to fit up OK just need some work to the sand pipes. Some 5BA screws were made for the crosshead pump also, I made these out of stainless to withstand a bit more side load and working that it will get.
I made a simple tool to shorten the length of some screws, basically a bit of steel that is the required thickness and with a number of holes in it to suit the various screw diameters. It has a tapped hole at the end and an M5 screw holds another piece of steel against the head of the screw to shorten. Same length every time with a nice square end.
Will come back to the Pansy after a stint on the Britt.
